隨著Covid-19爆發，面對疫情未知的恐懼，科學成為我們面對病毒的依據以及日常規範的準則，進出各場所總有人拿著酒精噴灑、清潔我們身上未知的病菌；同時底特律一名神父在教堂前拿著裝了聖水的水槍，對驅車前來祈福的信徒噴灑、淨化他們的身心。在疫情時代，我們的日常生活充斥著儀式性地酒精洗禮，讓酒精宛如聖水，似乎只要誠心相信酒精的效力、適時噴灑，不只能保佑我們身體健康，也能安定慌亂的心？作品希望重新檢視與思考在疫情下科學和信仰、理性和合理性的模糊界線。
With the outbreak of COVID-19, wherever you go, people spray rubbing alcohol to disinfect against any unknown germs. In Detroit, a priest uses a squirt gun filled with holy water to bless and spiritually cleanse his parishioners. During the pandemic, rubbing alcohol works just as holy water. As long as you believe in rubbing alcohol and spray it in good time, it can safeguard your health and bring peace to your anxious mind.
